Exploring the depths of what makes us human, Earl Carlson is a mixed-race multidisciplinary artist living in Brooklyn, New York. His work aims at breaking down the walls that we have erected around ourselves as coping mechanisms in a world that can feel cold and fearful. By creating situations where the participant is encouraged to shift their perspective of how they approach themselves and others, Earl sets the stage for individuals to see the radiance that connects us.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in new media studies at The University of Michigan, Earl lived in New Orleans, San Francisco, and Brooklyn, and traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia. Throughout this time, he has been observing and experiencing the ways in which we connect with ourselves and others to further inform his work.
